All American Pressure Canners have been manufactured in the USA since the 1930's and have established a strong reputation for quality. Since USDA and NCHFP recommend pressure canning as the reliably safe way to can low-acid foods like meats and vegetables, pressure canners have become an essential preserving tool. These pressure canners can also be used for preparing large quantities of food by pressure cooking it in a short amount of time.
These pressure canners are constructed of heavy duty diecast aluminum. All American Pressure Canners are not recommended for use on glass top/ flat ranges without first checking with your stove manufacturer because their weight may cause the glass/ceramic to break. The diameter of the canners are larger than most burners and may cause heat to transfer outward and damage the surrounding surface. These are not compatible with induction burners, as they are constructed with aluminum, and the diameter would also extend over the housing of the stove and cause damage.
