What is “Rush Processing” and what does it do for your order? We understand that sometimes our customers need supplies more quickly than usual. Understanding ETA‘s and your shipping options fully is very important and can save you time, money and frustration. There are two ways to shorten your lead time and we will address them in this post.
Rush processing addresses the manner in which your order is handled at our facility. For both LTL/Freight orders and ground package orders, this service carries a $25 fee and has a cut-off time of 11am EST. If you choose that option at checkout, and complete your order prior to 11am EST, it will ensure that your order gets picked and shipped that day. If you choose Rush Processing after 11am EST, it ensures your order will ship on our next business day. (This is not currently an option for pick-up orders)
Expedited shipping covers services offered through the shipping carriers after your order leaves our facility, and is only available for package/ground orders. For more information on how to maximize your freight experience, see our post on palletized orders.
Expedited shipping options carry separate fees in addition to the Rush Processing, and will vary in response to specifics of your order (weight, shipping address and level of expedited service). During the checkout process, you can see the change in ETA and in cost as you choose any of these services; including the Rush Processing.
