I’m pretty new to canning, but jams are my favorite. Blueberry lemonade jam and onion jam. Next summer, I want to preserve more fruit and veg for winter.

I love anything canning or even candle making, and possess most of them, but would love to win something more. Wish wish wish. 🙂

I like the re-caps so that I can store sugar in a half gallon jar and have easy access. The storage boxes are also cool.

Just wandering if anyone would know why I am getting white type spots on my container candles. I’m using dye with the wax & the color has white spots after curing??? I just recently switched over to Nature Wax C-3. I used another soy type wax from another company for 10 years. It worked wonderful, but I also like this wax and want to perfect the look of the finished candle. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

      Hi Kathy,

Having a high resolution photo of the white spots and a detailed process description of how you process your candles will help us make more specific corrective suggestions, but we’ll start with a few standards. Assuming this is “bloom”, the first objective is to control your cooling process. Experience says it is probably from cooling too quickly, so you could try heating the glass a little or pouring at a slightly higher temperature. Make sure to heat the wax higher than 160°F and keep it there for at least 15 minutes before cooling to add fragrance below flash point and then to pour temperature. Cure at room temperature or slightly higher.

Email photos and process to for more specifics, and let us know if the suggestions yield your desired finish or not. Thanks for reaching out, and thanks for your business!

I want to get the 12 oz. bottles and caps because I just bought a Soda Stream and want to make soda in bottles. I also want the 8 oz. straight side jars to use for pies in a jar, to store leftovers and chopped veggies in! I love meals in jars!
