Announcing another new product to join our roster…reCAPs! We couldn’t be more excited to add these handy Mason jar lids to our lineup.
Karen Rzepecki designed the reCAP so that she could easily pour from a Mason jar without removing the lid. The design is inspired by the classic American zinc cap, but enhanced with the practicality of BPA-free recyclable plastic. Plus, these spill-proof lids are made in the USA. With reCAP, you can easily shake, pour and store right from a mason jar. There are currently two reCAP lid styles, one for a regular mouth jar and one for a widemouth.
There are so many ways you can use these lids – salad dressing, pancake mix dispenser, drink topper, travel mug, and they can be used in fermenting. Plus, these are another great stocking stuffer idea for jar lovers!
We are giving away a set of reCAPs (one regular mouth and one widemouth) to a lucky winner.
Please use the widget below to enter the contest…In case you don’t win you can get your own reCAP here.
We can’t wait to hear what you would use your reCAP for.
I’d use it for pancake syrup at Creation Festival this year when I serve those 100 hungry youth….
I’d also use them for my morning smoothie. Would be great too if there was an attachment to the jar that for my Magic Bullet. Could always put it on top of a cup of coffee made in my Keurig.
For topping my jars of home made sauces and dressings
I would use the reCAP for broth. It seems I always have a half-used jar open in the refrigerator, and the reCAP would make it so much easier to pour!
I store both tea and broth in mason jars, and this would make pouring a serving so much easier – and less messy. What a fantastic idea!
I love my reCAPS and would love to get some more. I keep finding more and more uses for them.
I’d use them on my jars holding fresh juice I make with my juicer!
I would use the recap for my jar of maple syrup, we buy it from the bulk section at our co-op and it cam get frustrating to pour straight from the jar
I would use a ReCAP for my drinks!!! Actually hundreds of ideas came to mind of how to use an easy pour spout on a mason jar!! These are great!!! What an invention.
I would use the caps for drinks that I store in mason jars and want to pour easily. Our fresh milk supply is sometimes wasted when the kids spill it when trying to pour from the mason jars.
I love mason jars for coffee and tea!
I’m following on Pinterest – http://pinterest.com/mangomerle/ – (if you needed to check)
I’d use these for help pouring pancake batter and for smoothies on the go.
for dressing, for sure! this is awesome!
I follow you on pinterest
Perfect for the kids drinks!!
The first thing I would use the ReCaps for is for pouring pancake batter and then I would use one for homemade salad dressing and then the list is endless.
oh my word, i’m so excited!! i’ve seen some crafty people post on Pinterest about turning a mason jar lid into a cup with a straw hole, but now all i have to do is get one of these! thanks for the chance to win! i’m not that good with glue guns, after all.
It’s very, very rare that I look at something and think “NEED!” But these I need. So very badly.
Why do I never read the comment requirements? Haha. My first thought was “protein shakes”. It would also be perfect for controlling the scrambled eggs I pour into my Eggies.
So so many uses for these! Coffee, tea and juice, salad dressing, batter and even dry goods like flour or salt. These look terrific- yay Re-CAP!
Great idea! Will use for salad dressing, ice tea concentrate, a backup container or two of lemon or lime water, smoothies, and many more.
I’d use mine to help prevent tea & coffee from being spilled by eager 2 year old hands.
How would I use a recap? How wouldn’t I use one?
I definitely can see using it to mix up pancake mix or as a drink topper. I also like the idea of being able to pour grains or beans directly out of a jar. There are just so many ways to use this!
These are cool! I can think of a million ways to use them!
I’d use my reCap for my morning smoothies (or other morning beverages) to be spillproof in the car!
Great idea! Love the BPA free!
for my drinks and pancake suryp
WOW! Salad dressing, and drinks!
Syrups and Juices!
I store all of my bulk pantry items in mason jars, so I’ve been coveting reCaps for ages to make things easier to pour!
Mostly as a drinking lid, but also for storage of dry goods.
Drinks!
I always struggle with dry goods. These would be perfect.
Would love these for school. Awesome instead of all those bottles for water!
Those would be great to use with homemade salad dressing!
Latest use is to store and pour my corn meal. Especially love it for holding my homemade creamy salad dressings.
Homemade coffee creamer!
I need a Cuppow in the worst possible way!
I make my own taco seasoning so this would be perfect. I have it in a mason jar right now with a reused parmesan cheese container lid. It works good until the time comes to shake/mix all the ingredients together. The mixtures manages to come out of the lid. It’s not air tight. So I have to do more swirling than shaking per se.
I have one and I love it! I use it to store/pour my drinkable vinegars – it’s awesome!
I have one of these on my CHristmas wish list! I would use it for homemade salad dressing or to drink out of.
A great idea since pouring out of canning jars is not always very successful. I would love it for salad dressings and barbecue sauces especially.
Homemade salad dressings!
Would love to fill a jar with my coffee creamer.
I make a lot of sauces and syrups in my jars, these caps would be perfect for those.
I’d use it for homemade salad dressing.
I would also use it for my jars of flour and sugar. IT would be a lot easier than opening the top and spilling all over the place when I want to pour some out.
I would use these for dried goods at home, and taking water or kefir to work 🙂
I buy a lot of my baking items in bulk and store them in jars. These caps would be great for oat bran, wheat germ, etc!
I’d use them for my homemade ketchup!
I would use it to turn my mason jars into water bottles.
I make homemade laundry detergent so I’d use it for that!
LOVE the idea of using it for homemade dressing, which I make often.
I wish the inventor lots of good luck. I have lost count as to how many things I can now store in my mason jars.
Honey and salsa!
