DIY Bath & Body Recipes
Homemade body scrubs and lotions make a perfect gift. These DIY Bath & Body recipes are easy to make, package and give! There are a number of recipes you can try, but here are a couple recipes with just a few ingredients and three easy steps. Our wide selection of glass containers can help you build the perfect package – whether you’re making these as gifts or adding them to your retail line.
Body Scrub
What you need:
- 2 cups organic cane sugar or Epsom salts
- 1 cup carrier oil (olive oil, peanut oil, coconut oil, etc.)
- 8 drops skin safe fragrance oil(s)
- Jars
What to do:
- Stir together sugar or Epsom salts and carrier oil in a bowl, mixing well.
- Add fragrance oil, 1 drop at a time and mix.
- Spoon into glass jars and cover.
Body Butter
What you need:
- 1 cup coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil (optional)
- 4-6 drops skin safe fragrance oil(s)
What to do:
- Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl. (You do not have to melt the coconut oil first.)
- Mix on high speed with a wire whisk until whipped into a light, airy consistency.
- Spoon into glass jars and cover.
There are many fragrance oils you can use to personalize your homemade body products. Here’s a few of our favorites – English Lavender, Ginger Lime, Cucumber Melon. Not all fragrance oils are created equally, even essential oils. Our Truscent oils have IFRA certificates which are found in the Product Attachment tab of each fragrance. We did foot scrubs on our vacation with extended family. Some of the hubbies were gracious enough to give their wives foot treatments using the fresh scrubs! These are so fun for a girls night/day “in”…gather the ingredients, get a couple of fragrances to choose from and your guests can whip up their own sugar scrub, enjoy some special drinks and great company all in the comfort of home.
